"Body of a Woman" New Exhibit at Palais Orleans

Body of a Woman

The images in this exhibit flow from my fascination with light, shadow and contour.  While landscapes and still lifes allow me to play with those elements, they lend themselves best to  images of the avatar, especially in its feminine form.

Light and shadow allow me to capture mood and feeling, even emotion - here in a place where so many will tell you the 'cartoons' cannot display such things.

The images here are a blend of old and new, and some challenge the traditional notion of what the body of a woman looks like. I hope you enjoy them.

Callipygian Christensen has been creating photographic art, using images shot in Second Life, for over 4 years. Her images have won both juried and fan-favorite competitions, and have been shown in numerous galleries and special exhibitions.  Specializing in portraits, landscapes, and sepia period images, Calli  views SL through the lens of her SL camera, and records her view of the world to share in her art.

Our Grand Opening for Calli's exhibit is Monday, July 26 at 7:00 PM SL Time.
